Gracia the Artist is a queer, cross-genre artist based out of Seattle, WA - Once dubbed a ‘Multimedia Experimentalist’. It stuck.
[ Director - Cinematographer - Photographer - Collage Artist - Illustrator - Painter - with interests in storytelling, comedy, collaboration and elevating humanity. ]
ABOUT THE EXHIBITION.
Hand-cut collage meets both small and large-scale abstract worldscapes in this DECADE-DEBUT solo exhibition by Gracia the Artist.
‘Grl Goes to Collage to Get More Knowllage’ will be Gracia’s long-awaited gallery-premiere, showcasing over 50+ collages for the first time within a non-digital realm. Featuring work both small and large-scale, Gracia connects with the tangible, as each collage is cut and assembled by hand, woven together to create intentional moments hinging upon the edge of the figurative and the abstract.
At its heart, this show is about friendship - Largely showcasing “reimagined images” of other local artist/musicians and friends, collaged from Gracia’s own photography portfolio over the years. This exhibition will also be Gracia’s Birthday present to herself! <3 Sincerely.
